Cognition, the startup behind coding agent Devin, just raised more than $1 billion at a $25 billion valuation.

For a while, it looked like OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google would dominate the AI coding market themselves. Instead, investors are still betting there’s room for standalone companies built specifically around developer workflows and enterprise tooling.

Cognition says customers already include Mercedes-Benz, NASA, Goldman Sachs, and Santander, with enterprise usage growing rapidly.

The bigger shift is that AI coding is turning into its own software category, not just another chatbot feature. And right now, investors are throwing massive amounts of money at whoever looks positioned to own that layer.

Supported by Mode Mobile

Apple just secretly added Starlink satellite support to iPhones through iOS 18.3.

One of the biggest potential winners? Mode Mobile.

Mode’s EarnPhone already reaches 490M+ users that have earned over $1B, and that’s before global satellite coverage. With SpaceX eliminating “dead zones,” Mode’s earning technology can now reach billions more in unbanked and rural populations worldwide.

Their global expansion is perfectly timed, and investors like you still have a chance to invest in their pre-IPO offering at $0.50/share.

With their recent 32,481% revenue growth and newly reserved Nasdaq ticker, Mode is one step closer to a potential IPO.

After spending hundreds of billions on AI infrastructure, Meta is officially launching paid subscriptions for Meta AI.

The plans look very similar to ChatGPT and Gemini: pay more, get better reasoning, more image generation, and higher usage limits.

That’s a pretty big shift for Meta. Until now, most of its AI strategy was about improving ads and engagement across Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp.

Now it wants a direct AI business too.

The bigger pattern is that almost every major AI company is slowly converging on the same model: subscriptions, agents, and premium AI access layered on top of gigantic infrastructure spending.

A new Microsoft report found people in major U.S. cities are nearly twice as likely to use AI as those living in rural communities.

The gap isn’t just about infrastructure. Trust plays a huge role too, with urban residents far more likely to believe AI will benefit the public.

Microsoft warned this could turn into a much larger economic divide if AI adoption keeps following the same geographic patterns as previous tech waves.

Which is ironic, because some of AI’s strongest use cases, especially around healthcare and education, could actually benefit rural communities the most.
